Two-Face is a villainous character in the DC Comics universe. Originally introduced as Harvey Dent, Gotham City's district attorney, he was a staunch advocate for justice.

Dent's transformation into Two-Face stems from a disfiguring acid attack orchestrated by a criminal he was prosecuting. This event scarred the left side of his face, leading to a severe psychological break.

First appearing in *Detective Comics* #66 (August 1942), Two-Face's actions are governed by the flip of a two-sided coin. One side represents his former, law-abiding persona, while the other embodies his now-criminal tendencies. This coin toss dictates whether he will act mercifully or violently.
